Leisure with Dignity

During the 5th century BC, Athens experienced a historical period known as the ‘Golden Age of Pericles,’ during which it reached its peak of splendor due to its military and political hegemony. This period was a foundation for its ascent to the pinnacle of its evolution in various aspects of human expression.

As a correlate of this predominance, the Athenians also experienced economic prosperity, making labor for wealth production secondary. Much of their time was spent in spaces with fewer commitments or leisure time, which they used to focus on the development of human knowledge through philosophy, theater, and the arts in general. This period of work cessation dedicated to cultural development was called ‘leisure with dignity,’ as they chose to use their free time—where there could have been a total omission of activity—to advance in the production of knowledge, laying the foundations of modern Western culture.

But… leisure with dignity and technology? Apples and oranges?

Technology has been developed by humans since their origins, evolving through various stages to the present, facilitating survival. However, the development and application of technology took on a negative connotation, particularly after the Industrial Revolution, as replacing human labor with machines led to unemployment and its consequences.

This same feeling resurged with force starting in the 1980s and 1990s with the development of electronics, robotics, and the internet.

In our view, contrary to pessimistic reasoning, the current reality of technology can enable a process similar to Athenian leisure with dignity, where people use the free time generated by technology to bring new approaches to their usual activities, achieving more efficient results with less effort, exploring new fields of knowledge, and making significant advancements that improve their quality of life.

It is with the intention of contributing to this perspective on technology that we develop our internet projects, focusing on its positive aspects and aiming to be useful for those who might be affected by our proposals, helping them advance towards their goals in various aspects of their lives.

Trinolab
About Us

We are a company dedicated to developing our own projects on the Internet, some of them in strategic partnership with highly experienced IT professionals in web projects.

Members of our team have been connected to the Internet since 2005, studying and researching this dynamic and rapidly evolving field of knowledge. We have developed thematic projects and participated in successful implementations of e-government tools.

After a prolonged hiatus, we are resuming this activity that we are passionate about with three projects, one of which has a strong focus on e-learning.

Our operational base is the web, and for practical purposes that cannot yet be overcome, we have a physical base in Asunción, Paraguay—a landlocked country where the Internet provides opportunities to transcend its geographic limitations.
